New Delhi: Indian cricket team’s all-rounder Kedar Jadhav has announced his retirement from all formats. 39-year-old Kedar Jadhav took to social media to announce his decision. He has shared a video, in the background of which Kishore Kumar’s song ‘Zindagi Ke Safar Mein’ is heard. In this post, he shared memorable moments of his career.
Kedar Jadhav thanked the fans
Kedar announced his retirement at around 3 pm. During this, Kedar Jadhav thanked all the fans. Kedar Jadhav wrote on his Instagram, “Thank you very much to all of you for giving me love and support in my career. After 3 pm today, consider me retired from every format of cricket.” Jadhav made his ODI debut for India against Sri Lanka on 16 November 2014 and played his first T20 match against Zimbabwe on 17 July 2015.

The batting all-rounder, who was a part of the 2019 World Cup, scored 1389 runs in 73 ODIs and took 27 wickets. He played 9 T20 matches, in which he scored 122 runs and his best score during this period was 58. Kedar Jadhav was away from cricket for some time. He was not seen not only in Team India but also in the IPL. This player, who was out of the team due to fitness and poor form, also tried to make a comeback many times but he could not succeed in it.
Kedar took retirement in Dhoni’s style
Interestingly, Jadhav’s social media post is very similar to MS Dhoni’s retirement note on Instagram. The former Indian captain shared a slideshow of pictures from his career, in which the famous Bollywood song ‘Main Pal Do Pal Ka Shayar Hoon’ was heard in the background. Also, the caption read, “Thank you so much for your love and support throughout. Consider me retired from 6:29 PM.”
